Sixty students of boarding schools from the Ivanovo region of Russia will start attending a special school for talented children during the new school year. The news was announced on April 11th at the session devoted to the reform of Ivanovo's Orphanage No. 3.

The orphanage is said to be transformed into the educational institution for talented orphans. The reform will be conducted within the scope of the project "Orphanage for gifted children." Mikhail Men, the governor of the Ivanovo region, said that the project received the support from Russian President Dmitry Medvedev. The president has visited Ivanovo's Orphanage No. 3 twice before. The funds for renovation works were assigned from the reserve fund of the president.

Medvedev also promised to give a concert grand to the orphanage. The students of the new reformed school will study vocal skills and music, design and sewing art, painting, photography, choreography and sport, the governor said. "The rooms for the classes have been selected, and their design projects have been developed," Mikhail Men said. The governor paid attention to the importance of the organization of the work with children. The students of the orphanage should have an opportunity to continue their education afterwards. They should be able to enter institutions of professional education in the field of culture and find a job, the governor said. Irina Ermish, the head of the Department for Social Protection of the Population of the Ivanovo Region, said that the choice of the direction of children's education was based on the research of their interests. "The research showed that eleven percent of students had creative abilities in the field of music, vocals and choreography.
