Bayern Munich beat Real Madrid in the first leg of the Champions League semi-final in Germany. Bayern scored in the first half through Ribéry; Ozil equalised for Mourinho's team in the second half and in the closing minutes, Gomez scored Bayern's second. But is one goal enough to take th the cauldron of the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium? When Mesut Ozil cancelled out Franck Ribéry's first half goal on 53 minutes, Real Madrid looked to be sailing away with the game, pressing Bayern after an initial push by the home side. Karim Benzema had threatened for the visitors earlier on, Manuel Neuer saving his shot giving confidence to Jupp Heynckes' team. Ribéry's goal came from a Toni Kroos corner. Cristiano Ronaldo had a free kick just wide in the first half, which belonged to the Germans: Bastian Schweinsteiger and Mário Gomez had good opportunities, the first shooting wide and the second saved by Iker Casillas.

After the break, Real Madrid came out of the dressing room with fire in the stomach. Cristiano Ronaldo's strike was saved by Neuer, but the ball fell to Benzema, then Ronaldo, who served Ozil for the 1-1. Bayern came back with a couple of chances for Gomez and increasingly, the striker looked more and more dangerous, He headed at Casillas on 85' but on 90' put away Lahm's pass. The final of the Champions League will be at Bayern's Stadium. But will Bayern be playing?
